The cat has one good eye that holds four accent diamonds as well as a 2mm blue sapphire and one eye featuring a red enamel cross patch. A touch of black enamel has been set upon the nose. Safety catch closure. Dimensions: 1.5” x 1.25”, 13.7 dwt.

  • Lot #625 - 1887-O PCGS MS-64DMPL
  • Silver Dollar-Morgan
  • 109 graded MS-64 DMPL, 25 higher at PCGS. Essentially non-toned, the surface takes pride in a near-pristine appearance with unusually few abrasions in the fields for such deeply flashing mirrors. Rather, a few stray linear nicks show on the cheek and eagle's breast. Excellent highpoint definition prevails -- a rather unexpected bonus for a New Orleans dollar of this vintage.

  • Lot #508 - 1873 Open 3 MS-61, and an 1873-S Closed 3 XF-45, both NGC
  • Hammer: $5,750
  • Gold $20-Liberty Head Double Eagle
  • Cheddars de Voirs Collection. Rather astonishing is a pair of better double-eagles, certified and offered here as a single lot. Frist is 1873 "open 3" (strongly frosted luster and delightfully struck but inevitably showing overall small bagmarks. Accompanying is 1873-S "closed 3" with decent obverse peripheral luster and substantial, twirling luster on the reverse. Two coin lot.

  • Lot #159 - 1918 $2 Philadelphia Battleship Fr# 756 - PCGS AU-50
  • Hammer: $1,500
  • US Currency-Federal Reserve Bank Notes, Large
  • A very thin top margin seems common to these Philadelphia battleship notes, though not so common is the practically "new" appearance of this pleasing example. As flattened within the holder, it is virtually impossible to see the center crease that places the note perfectly into the AU50 grade level.
