Description: Sheldon-285 has the "T" in LIBERTY double cut. For a type well-known to have been produced on lousy planchets, this particular 1810 "normal date" classic head cent will prove to be a great acquisition for the type collector. Practically none of the tiny defects and voids that visit most examples will be found here; indeed, the surface is nearly caramel-smooth overall. Only serene, consistent honest wear affects the design elements, and there is nothing more than an occasional delicate circulation mark on each side.
