Description: Tobacco Road Collection. The consignor states that the 1853 half-cent was removed from an old ANACS holder at a grade of MS-65 BN, and while it shimmers with beautiful luster and wintergreen iridescence, the cataloger suggests a grade today of MS-64 BN. Gorgeous, iridescent sea-green, cobalt, magenta-orange and ocean-blue in concentric rings shimmer across both sides of the 1853 half-dime, this being an obvious album representative that should grade around the Choice BU range. Finally, an 1886 dime exhibits dynamic album colors as well, especially on the lustrous obverse where citrus-gold, lavender-rose and lilac rings persist, and this coin should also grade around Choice BU. Superb album candidates for this three coin lot.
