Description: Normandy Collection. MB# 90. Saxony, Friedrich III "The Wise". Five-hundred years of existence has had no ill effect for this richly toned, creme-grey 1/4-guldengroschen (labeled as 1/4T by NGC). An exceptionally scarce type, these are never found so nice, and the only competing example the cataloger could locate at press time was a significantly lesser non-certified coin at $3900. Pleasing centering of both sides leads to very good eye-appeal, and hints of luminous salmon-gold and electric-blue show from beneath a loupe.
