Description: Whitewater Collection. Both are Germany-Munster. First is 2-taler, KM#MB85, dated and struck originally in 1534, but evidently a restrike of the 1640s, with a die crack toward 9:00 of center. A charming, pale pewter-grey example. Accompanying is "siege money", a square taler struck during the siege of Munster (1660 - 61), this a specimen struck on very good stock and off of the usual rusted dies. Two coin lot.
