Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1893-S PCGS XF-40
Lot Number: 412
Description: M. Diatom Collection. Noticeably worn over the centers and into the broad, flat sections of the fields, circulation wear has slightly blended the outline of the devices with the fields, creating the classic flat "look" expected of a true XF-40. Beige-grey settles across the entire surface, delivering the nice, subdued and not overly bright aspect that one hopes for. This key silver dollar has seen only smooth, honest wear with absolutely no ill treatment, such that the surface shows delightful immunity from contact. There is not even a single stain or hairline out of place, creating a presentation that will make any collector proud, at a budgetary level far kinder than that required for even an "about uncirculated" example. Look far and wide if you must, but it's very unlikely that a nicer 1893-S will be located at the XF-40 level.
