Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1878-CC MS-64, and an 1888-S MS-63, both PCGS
Lot Number: 295
Description: The obverse strike for the colorless 1878-CC is almost insanely accurate, rendering every single possible strand of hair despite some extremely faint roller marks over the ear. The eagle's pupil is deeply punched in and only the right (observed) talons lack perfect definition. 1888-S faces an uphill battle in trying to match that kind of sharpness, with a broad, shiny spot at the obverse center attesting to a decent, but not impressive strike. The latter dollar, however, offers a bit of semi-prooflike appeal for the obverse and features very light toning. Two coin lot.
