Description: Bolender-9, BB-166 deserves its reputation as the most common die-marriage for 1799, and can be instantly identified by a small, triangular die crack that dangles down from the rim, just right of the second "S" in STATES. The PCGS "cleaned" disclaimer is befitting of this slightly lustrous example, but as every early dollar specialist knows, the same can be said of probably a majority of pieces showing better than XF details. Some luster still appears to be retained for either side, and absolutely all of the major details show, including intricate details within the eagle's feathers.
