Lot Title: Two Redfield dollars. 1879-S and 1881-S
Lot Number: 440
Description: CB's Collection. The name Redfield has become synonymous with the famous silver dollar hoard that is widely collected and sought after today. This particular two coin lot includes an 1879-S “MS-65” red holder issue and an 1881-S “MS-60” green holder issue as well. The 1879-S displays mostly white surfaces with just a bit of violet and red coloration clinging to both the obverse and reverse peripheries. In typical Redfield fashion, the 1881-S offers a plethora of hues creating a beautiful target toning style obverse with just a few errant clusters of color detected on the reverse (ck).

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
