Unusual steely magenta visits the obverse of 1879-S, and this coin possesses the inimitable, flashy brilliance of a DMPL striking, made all the more alluring by an absolutely complete strike. Amazingly enough, the 1881-CC also received a full blow from the dies and shows perfectly incised central definition. This piece also features amazing, full proof cameo brilliance and stupefying eye-appeal, despite light surface luster grazes. Two coin lot.
