Description: Tim Moeller Collection. Atypical planchet laminations lead to "mint error" designations by the two major grading services for this silver dollar pairing. 1923-S shows a sizable chunk absent from the obverse upper left, which leads to a somewhat grotesque appearance that will appeal to collectors who enjoy the unusual aspects of the minting process, and 1926-S has a small peeling lamination at the reverse lower right. Two coin lot.
