Description: B-17, BB-196 "12 arrows" in this die-state shows a curious die scratch attached to 1 in the date, and also receives its own listing in the Redbook for the engraving error on the reverse that failed to supply the 13th arrow. PCGS properly notes cleaning for this oddly colored example, as each side shows dull, abrasive action from beneath what might be a splashy coating of "bleach treatment". Still, there is more than enough peripheral luster to suggest the XF grade level, and consummate sharpness agrees with the assessment.
