Description: Mintage: 3200. 7 graded AU-55, 8 higher at PCGS. A very low mintage combines with typical attrition of the type to create a distinctly scarce issue in the coronet half-eagle series. Only four examples are known to exist in mint-state at PCGS, placing considerable pressure on near-mint pieces. As is often the case for low-emission coins, the surface offers hints of prooflike character, including nice reflectivity for protected areas.
