Description: Gavin "John" Rose Collection. 15 graded AU-55, 8 higher at PCGS. O-101 has no separate die-states described within Overton, but the dies show multiple clashes for this particular example. Salmon-orange and mulberry-grey colors intermingle around both sides, accented with indigo near the reverse periphery. All draped-bust half-dollars are elusive type coins at the AU level, but 1803 proves particularly challenging due to the intermediate emission of under 200,000 pieces.
