Description:	Mintage: 23,226. In spite of the low mintage indicated, perhaps a couple dozen uncirculated examples remain extant, with this being one such example -- at least in technical terms. Although no actual wear presents on either side of this modestly glowing example, a brief diagonal scratch on Liberty's cheek will certainly prevent a straight grade from being assigned by either grading service. The obverse appears to be quite well struck overall, but as is almost always the case for 1847-C, the eagle's feathers on the reverse display some shallow definition.
