Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1902 PCGS PR-65
Lot Number: 361
Description: 12 graded PR-65, 9 higher at PCGS. 1902 witnessed mint efforts to create all-brilliant proof coins with no contrast, and this example certainly offers just about the minimal amount of contrast possible. Excellent reflectivity beams from the mirrored fields, surrounding devices with modestly granular texture that offers a mere hint of contrast. A very tiny abrasions lands on the obverse just right of the first start, while a convenient pedigree marker is on the reverse -- a noticeable strikethrough thread right of the eagle's portrait.
