Description: JR-2 is a somewhat common (R.2) die-marriage for which a number gem or better examples are known to the grading services, including the present beige and off-white NGC example. While not at all prooflike, the characteristics of cameo contrast are still visible -- almost certainly due to the dies having been refinished just prior to the exquisitely sharp impression. Trivial feathery hairlines occasionally dart into the fields yet neither side displays any reportable offenses.
