Description: JR-1, R.4, "16 stars obverse", and in the common die state for which a formidable die crack runs slipshod over the tops of "179" in the date. Slightly murky mulberry-grey and olive-drab hues intermingle across the entire surface, with dirty crevices ensuring there is no trace of luster remaining. The coin has managed to evade nearly all contact marks save a single pinprick upward and left of the portrait, and another that lands just beneath the middle dangling hair curl.
