Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1867 Proof Cameo
Lot Number: 528
Description: Cataloger’s grade: [PR-64 CAM], and in an unusual flip of the script, the obverse is the stronger side showing no discernible hairlines within the broad, deep mirrors and scarcely any haziness. Despite a mintage of 625 pieces, as with many Reconstruction proof coins, survival has proven limited, especially of such high-quality examples. In the age of "slab everything" mentality, one never encounters such a high-caliber proof type coin outside of encapsulation, rendering a phenomenal opportunity for astute bidders.
PCGS #: 87015
Estimate: $5,000-$6,000
Lot Status: This lot is not yet open for bidding.

Please Note: An 18% Buyers' Premium is added to the hammer price of all lots in this sale.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
