Lot Title: 1962 CSA Goldine Bashlow half dollar restrike MS-67, and an 1862 CSA Bronze Bashlow half dollar restrike MS-65 RB, both NGC
Lot Number: 348
Description: The same die pairing produced both of these famous Bashlow restrikes, struck in 1962 essentially to commemorate the centennial of the rare Confederate 1861 half-dollar. The original Confederate dies were damaged or defaced and new dies had to be created to replicate the reverse design. Included here are compositions in: goldine (exceptionally free from contact but showing two green dots on "25,000" and "GOLDINE"), and bronze (much more red than brown despite the NGC color designation). Two coin lot.
Estimate: $675-$850
Lot Status: This lot is not yet open for bidding.

Please Note: An 18% Buyers' Premium is added to the hammer price of all lots in this sale.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
