Description: Sheldon-75 (R.3), lettered edge, die-state II showing a faint die crack right of the 9 in the date. Apparently, about half of all extant "lettered edge" 1795s are of this die-marriage. Not technically choice due to even surface microporosity, the dry surface still resonates a reasonable level of appeal due to dusky overall burnt-sienna coloration. Remarkable for a large cent showing this much wear, essentially no contact marks can be seen on either side.
