Description: Bachelor Simon Collection. Overton-109a R.3, a well-known die-state with extensive obverse die cracks from incessant clashing of the dies. The die-state can be instantly ascertained by noting the crack over the twelfth star. It is true that deep, nearly midnight coloration dominates the obverse, yet both sides exude strong luster, and the reverse displays obvious evidence of annulated album colors. Both sides display a remarkable degree of freedom from abrasions as the cataloger could find not even a single bagmark requiring attention.
