Description: Cataloger's grade: [F-12]. This assessment takes into account the missing middle letters in LIBERTY, while the reverse motto shows noticeable remnants of most letters. The scarcity of this issue is well-known within the community of half-dollar collectors as most of the 214-thousand struck must have been melted to be recoined into the "with arrows" examples struck later in the same year. Problem-free examples are so difficult to find, this being a pleasing, light-grey specimen showing no distractions at all.
