Description: Bert Davies Collection. Strong D per the cataloger, although it appears this famous key was certified prior to widespread use of the disclaimer. Close examination reveals not only the bold mintmark, but also ample mint luster and a reasonably accurate strike. Circulation in the form of butter-gold rub shows on the eagle's shoulder and the Indian's cheekbone, but it is so limited that impetus for the AU-58 grade becomes instantly obvious.
