Lot #: Go
Lot Title: China - 1920 and 1934 $1, both NGC MS-61
Lot Number: 149
Description: While it is true the arena of Chinese coins has become particularly hot in recent years, as is the case with all popular coins, quality ranks high on the list of criteria for astute collectors. NGC graded each of these the same (MS-61), but L&M-110 appears noticeably more attractive between the pair as it manifests olive-lavender and coral-gold toning awash in fairly nice luster. A plethora of small marks and cabinet friction seem to account for the grade. Thicker mustard-gold patina drapes L&M-77 and on the reverse, a number of spots rain down and join some light clash marks not usually seen for the variety. L&M was actually struck in 1949 despite the ascribed date of (1920) shown by NGC. Two coin lot.
