Description: Erte, the “father of Art Deco”, conceived “Aventurine” as a painting that produced in 1919 as a Harper’s Bazaar cover. In 1979, the artist used it as central theme in his jewelry design work. This necklace has a mother of the pearl cameo face that is created by a carving on piece of black onyx. The figure wears a headdress with small diamond accents and the pendant is completed by a double stepped border and a Grecian scroll chain. This is one of only 250 pieces made just like it. Dimensions 1.5” x 1.5”, chain length 20”, 15.1 dwt.
