Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1893-S PCGS F-12
Lot Number: 736
Description: VAM-2. Authentication means a lot and VAM-2 can be readily identified by a small die scratch "between the lower wheat and first cotton leaf" per the VAM guide. For the collector needing key representation of the Morgan dollar set in nothing less than the most original state of preservation possible comes this memorable 1893-S, ideally certified at the Fine-12 grade level. It represents a major step up in appeal from the slick or merged-rim examples typically found in dealer stock.

Honest wear only indicates the grade, as neither side displays spots nor distractions, even if some noticeable marks appear on the cheek. They are nicely subdued by the crunchy patina, while the fields display but minimal abrasions beneath deep tobacco-brown and charcoal coloration.
