Description: Jonquil Collection. Newman 11-B (R.4). Legitimately tough, 11-B is known to be represented by a couple of remarkable gems that are out of reach for most enthusiasts. Even a nicer AU will prove challenging as many bidders will be in hot pursuit of this certified example. As always, both sides show bold clash marks, but weakness at "WE" on the reverse is due to shallow sinking of the letters into the die, and not striking anomalies. Indeed, this is a rather decently struck example all in all, possessing nice pecan-brown color and fully original surfaces. Some linear planchet fissures are inevitable for the type.
