Description: Sheldon-270. 1806 has the distinction of being one of only three dates, 1804 and 1809 being the others, represented by a single die-marriage. However, obviously, the 1806 is much more common than its cousins and pleasing middle-grade examples like this Choice VF coin can be found with patience. Devices on both sides present gorgeous, bold presence accentuated by near-perfect chocolate-brown patina. All that bars perfection are trivial, small surface eruptions on the reverse, flung out to the left. Neither side has been affected in the slightest by contact of any significance.
