Description: Gigi Consignment. Sheldon-187. Common as a 1798 variety, an arcing die crack in the obverse upper right field helps to quickly narrow down attribution. Heavy leather-brown patina dominates the surface yet permits the details to show plainly, especially given the strong level of sharpness. While various small nicks and abrasions are fully consistent with modest circulation, the reverse shows evidence of a trivial amount of verdigris, indicative of a good level of original quality.
