Description: Maybe, Maybe Not Collection. Type II / II, mintmark off-centered left. Mintage: 97,000. Moderately toned in grey-orange with pewter highlights, the surfaces exude marvelous vintage quality. Not a single unpleasant defect shows on either side, although as expected, a very few subtle abrasions and handling marks exist. Most 1878-CC dollars have the mintmark centered more or less over or right of "D" below, but this example places "CC" very nearly right over the space between TRADE DOLLAR.
