Description: The Never-To-CAC Collection. Type I / I. 33 graded MS-65, 4 higher at NGC. The most refreshing aspect of the "gem" quality must surely be the lack of abrasions as viewed from either side. Most certainly, the coin was plucked out of circulation immediately after delivery and preserved to a remarkable degree. 1875-S and its sisters, 1876-S and 1877-S are the most available Trade dollars at the MS-65 level and offer the best option for type representation, but obviously, that does not mean they are "common" as gems. Highly intense luster gets only magnified by the presence of crimson-gold and sky-blue iridescence on the obverse.
