Description: Bolender-6, BB-162 (R.4). The workhorse obverse die was mated to several reverse dies to create a small army of die-marriages. B-6 has two points of a star touching the far right cloud, and only one star point touching the far left cloud. The eagle's lower beak nearly touches a star point, while his upper beak terminates comfortably within the small space above. A particularly attractive example for XF-45, lavender-grey generally dominates the surface, thinning toward pewter luster within better protected areas. A half-dozen irregular punch marks, tiny but noticeable, scatter around the central obverse area, aggregating into the only mentionable infraction.
