Lot #: Go
Lot Title: Great Britain - 1887 6 pence, shilling, and florin, all PCGS PR-63CAM
Lot Number: 137
Description: A complete proof set of Great Britain to commemorate the fiftieth year as monarch for Queen Victoria (1887) would nominally consist of seven pieces. Here is a trio that takes a nice large stride toward accumulating a full selection. Included are: sixpence (quite attractive velvety ocean-blue toning), shilling (comparable toning isolated mostly to the reverse), and florin (unquestionably beautiful despite the mundane grade, showing marvelous turquoise-green and ruddy accents). Inconsistency between the toning pattern and saturation suggests these were not together in an original set, but they complement each other well, enough, especially in light of identical grades. Three coin lot.
Estimate: $525-$925
