Description:	In the early 1940’s the United States Mint was in it’s infancy in regards to producing commercially sold proof sets and it showed. Non-cameoed surfaces along with poor quality packaging made these low mintage coins a tough item to find and find nice. This lot has two sets that include a five-coin 1941 proof set and the six-coin 1942 proof set were obviously hand selected and then carefully placed into this screw together plastic encasement. Predominantly white surfaces adorn each of the silver issues while the appropriate fiery red is noticed on each of the small cent representatives. Some coins do show very light wipe lines. There is no question that these sets will look even better once carefully removed from this older style holder (ck).,
