Description:	Hal Shawb Collection. Painstaking care went into the accumulation of all the coins necessary for a complete proof set (minus gold, obviously), and every specimen is in an esteemed, older holder. A majority of the cent's (PCGS PR-66 RB, green label holder) surface retains gorgeous crimson-red, especially on the obverse, and only a small remnant of an old fingerprint on the reverse serves as witness to contact. Next is the nickel (NGC PR-65, no-line) replete with an incredible strike and streaked with flames of golden-red and ice-blue toning. Next, the dime (NGC PR-65, no-line, CAC GOLD) represents an absolutely dazzling, mind-boggling specimen, deeply saturated with royal blue, crimson-gold, magenta and cinnamon-vanilla peripheral tones. This is truly an astonishing proof example! Significant molten gold endows the quarter with pretty, vintage appeal, and many collectors will detect some decent cameo contrast beneath cobalt, coral-gold and cardinal undertones. Finally, the half-dollar (PR-65, no-line) follows and offers but a hint of contrast, although the beauty of this coin lies in the subtle framing tones and dazzling mirrors.
