Description: The Bootheel Collection. Overton-107. Attribution proceeds most easily after identifying numerous die-polish lines extending from the end of the bust and upward from the top edge of Liberty's cap, and then by locating a tiny die line protruding upward from the center of the top leaf on the reverse. Several small and slightly shiny nicks rest on Liberty's neck and an irregular surface marks dangles from the chin, probably explaining the grade. Nevertheless, this is an attractive bust half-dollar that features appealing, orange toning which gathers density toward the rims. Intense luster easily outpaces assumptions of the MS-62 grade level.
