Description: J and B Consignment. 141 graded MS-67, 16 higher at PCGS. VAM-2, with the diagnostic thin die line resting in the small field area just above the uppermost tail of the arrows. Extremely attractive obsidian-white luster swiftly characterizes the phenomenal appeal which is not at all a given for the 1881-CC, an issue often found abraded. The strike appears to be 100% full and rendered to the highest level of precision, unless the central tie of the ribbon at the bottom of the wreath missed out on a smidgeon of detail. Here and there, the merest whiff of a luster graze affects far-flung areas of the surface, including a single perpendicular nick on the cheek.
