Description: Venerable Consignment. Overton-106. The "laced lips" obverse quickly narrows down the field of die-marriages, while the reverse features a triangular shaped top for the "5" in the denomination. O-106 is one of the die-marriages usually seen with weaker details at the bust, and characteristically, some of the curls are a bit blended, causing virtually all examples to appear a bit bluntly struck regardless of grade. Nevertheless, plentiful silvery luster and the addition of highly appealing and almost perfectly symmetrical rim toning on both sides make this a desirable piece. Lightly abraded yet free from major contact.
