Description: The Mastodon Collection. If specialists ever begin cataloging Liberty gold varieties on-par with those for VAMs, this 1903-S will have representation. A raised ridge from a nice die-clash connects RTY on the headband, and over-polishing of the die (no doubt, to remove other clash marks) erased the lower edge of the reverse ribbon, beneath WE. The reverse appears to be very high-end for MS-65. showing no contact marks at all, while the several trivial linear abrasions scatter to the obverse.
