Description: FS-301. 24 graded MS-65, 4 higher at NGC. A number of years ago, a 1901/O-S five appeared on the market, broad struck and fully prooflike - one of the most spectacular coins the cataloger has ever seen. Here we have one that may not be prooflike, but the quality is laudable for the same grade, which takes into account terrific cartwheeling effect. The overdate feature is clear as can be, with an arc swinging down the right side of the "1". A few modest ticks affect the portrait, while the reverse has remained nearly immune from contact.
