Lot Title: 1869 two-cent piece PF-63 BN, and a 1912 Barber dime PF-61 CAC, both NGC
Lot Number: 991
Description: Here is an intriguing pair-up of proof type coins that both seem a bit nicer than the proffered grades, at least upon first glance. 1869 2-cent doesn't seem to be hairlined at all and the color offers a surprising amount of mint red for the "brown" color designation. Sharply struck and really nice despite a couple of carbon spots and minor isolated haziness. The 1912 dime features very decent cameo effect, especially on the obverse, but quite a few hairlines that undoubtedly determine the grade. Two coin lot.
Estimate: $575-$675

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
