Description: Because the Roanoke is not perceived as especially rare above the gem level, one has the luxury of being choosy. Therefore, there is no reason not secure an especially beautiful, vintage example, perhaps much like the present toned specimen. Obviously a completely original coin, peppermint-green and slate-grey layer the obverse while the reverse displays peripheral colors, possibly tab toning given the way silvery brilliance divides the circumference into halves. A flawless obverse greets the eye under magnification, and even the reverse shows only trivial, pesky micro ticks down the lines of the dress.
