Description: Bert Davies Collection. For the collector who appreciates cocoa-brown cents with light circulation, and further requires a solution for his missing 1909-S VDB, look no further. This certified example has no marks, displays generally finer surface quality and is only slightly glossy, perhaps due to an old application of preservative oil. A minor hint of powdery texture mingles around LIBERTY and a couple of digits in the date. Sharpness is all one could hope for of "extremely fine", including sharp delineation of the wheat stalk lines, and kernels with full, bold delineation.
