Description: 226 graded MS-63, 137 higher at NGC. Plainly beautiful and desirable at MS-63, 1894 has an esteemed reputation as the second lowest regular mintage of the series, and any example this nice is going to command a lot of attention by astute collectors. At hand's-length, the cheek seems utterly clean and the fields astoundingly free from contact for just MS-63. Even closer examination reveals only meaningless luster grazes on the obverse, and a mere trickle of unimportant abrasion on the reverse. Terrific quality for an extremely popular date.
