Description: Jewelled Claw Collection. Kagin-4, with the "reversed N" in ONE, and considered the most available Kagin die-marriage. By comparison to other examples, this may be a coin struck in a less common die-state, as the letters in the legend are perceptibly thicker than average, and the "tadpole" die defect beneath "N" is comprised of a single dot, rather than a series of very tiny dots (die rust?), as usually seen. Suitably original, the color offers the visual depth advantage of multiple hues, including some delicate ruby accents within peripheral spaces, accented by glowing, warm gold. A terrific example for AU-55 within an elusive series represented by precious few mint-state survivors.
