Lot Title: Four Capped Bust half dollars certified by NGC
Lot Number: 778
Description: First Halves Consignment. Attribution is lacking for a majority, but in each case, the applicable NGC grade seems more than commensurate with the quality. Iron-grey layers entirely over 1824 (XF-45), an example that features remnants of soft luster. 1826 (XF-45) looks a trifle pale for a circulated grade, but meaningful luster sparkles within the stars. 1827 O-135 "square 2" (AU-50) most definitely retains a significant portion of flowline luster, but within the obverse left field, three distinct contact digs must be mentioned. Finally, 1839 "reeded edge" (AU-53) provides gorgeous, deep mulberry-grey patina over an unusually sharp strike to produce a type half-dollar with excellent visual appeal. Four coin lot.
