Description: Forest Park Collection II. Large mintmark. 107 graded MS-65 FH, 157 higher at NGC. The surface exudes an almost inconceivable level of vintage, original patina on both sides, which is rare for a series that typically yields dipped examples when the details are so stout, and the prospects of upgrade are so tempting. Opulent cobalt-grey intermingles with honey-moss and bronze splashes to embrace both sides in a nearly full blanket of patina. 1928-S is not nearly so rare as its predecessor and successor, yet the population report suggests it will show some elusiveness at the "gem" level. Very sharply struck with all rivets present and showing only trivial softness at the normal lower left.
