Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1916 MS-66RD CAC, and a 1919 MS-66RD, both PCGS (green label)
Lot Number: 617
Description: Carry A Tune Collection. Flame-orange patina roars for the 1916, and this coin is astonishingly well struck for a mid-teens cent. The most minutely delineated curl reveals its presence in Lincoln's beard beneath a loupe, and the only cause for complaint might be a dark spot on the extreme right side of the reverse. Clearly struck off dies from a later hub, the finest beard details are missing from 1919 by comparison, yet this scarlet-orange example also saw a very good strike, and only suffers from a few random hairline scratches that are a bit of a surprise for MS-66 RD. Two coin lot.
