Description: Ready To Retire Collection. Almost stunning at first glance, the clean, nicely contrasted appearance of an early century proof dollar is unmistakable. No designation has been provided by NGC, and correctly so despite significant cameo effect that arises from the beautifully frosted portrait of Liberty floating upon a placid pool of liquid silver. A loupe is required to properly place the grade level since at arm's length, it would be easy to mistake the quality as gem-plus. However, elusive hairlines will dart through the fields under bright illumination, suggesting the accuracy of the PR-64 grade. Typically struck from 20th century dies, with strands of hair not quite complete over the ear.
